The Armstrong Centre is the former ‘Armstrong’s Sports and Social Club’ which has been leased by Beverley Baptist since 2021.
The centre is used by the church on a Sunday for services, and for the rest of the week the rooms are hired out to community groups.
The centre includes two main rooms. ‘The Café’ was until recently used as a commercial café Monday to Friday, but it is now available for hire 5 days a week. It is usually laid out in its café format which suits groups such as bingo, art classes and community meals.
The main hall has for many years been used for dances, and is used for dance classes, choirs and other groups requiring the larger space, either seated at tables or in rows presentation style.
At this time we are not able to hire the spaces for one off events such as children’s parties or adult celebrations, but we welcome requests for community groups requiring to use the rooms weekdays during the day or evenings.
